| The UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, handed a cheque of Dh2.5-million to Sharad Pawar [Images], the President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and Dh7.5 million to Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf [Images] for the victims of either side of the border.The deadly earthquake that shook Jammu and Kashmir [Images] on October 8, 2005 was the severest in the state in over 120 years. Over 73,000 were killed and 69,000 injured.
