Laxman, Kumble not in ODI team

Leg spinner Anil Kumble [Images] has been omitted from India's 14-man squad for the first two matches of their One-Day Iinternational series against Pakistan, starting on Saturday.
The 34-year-old Kumble claimed 17 wickets in the three-Test series which ended in a 1-1 draw on Monday following Pakistan's 168-run victory in the final Test in Bangalore.
Batsman Vangipurappu Laxman, wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik [Images] and opening batsman Gautam Gambhir [Images] are the other members of the Test squad to be left out.
Laxman and Kumble were also overlooked for the previous one-day series in Bangladesh in December, which India won 2-1.

Match venues: Kochi (April 2), Visakhapatnam [Images] (April 5), Jamshedpur (April 9), Ahmedabad (April 12), Kanpur (April 15) and New Delhi (April 17).
