"I'd certainly consider it (coming home) if another bomb went off," Gillespie told radio station 3AW in Melbourne. "I can't speak for anyone else, but if something did happen here in England [Images] I would certainly think about it."

On July 7, 52 people were killed when four suicide bombers blew themselves up on three underground trains and a bus in London [Images], putting the city's 7 million people on edge.

Two weeks later, a gang left four more bombs on London's transport system but the devices failed to go off.

Gillespie said several of his team mates were also concerned.

"I suppose the guys, to an extent, are still a little bit on edge," he said.

"I wonder if another bomb did go off here in England, you know, there'd be serious questions asked, I think, about the tour," Gillespie said.

The Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Web site they were not surprised players were expressing concern about the possibility of further bomb blasts.

"I have spoken to Jason, and I have spoken to a couple of the other players, and there is concern within the group," ACA chief executive Paul Marsh said.

"I keep going back to saying it's natural there would be a concern but certainly it's not panic.

"Players aren't requesting to come home. They want to push through with the tour."

Australia won the first Test at Lord's by 239 runs, with the second beginning at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Thursday. The fifth Test is set for The Oval in London from Sept. 8.
