India retain team for Delhi ODI

April 15, 2005 22:04 IST

India has retained the team that did duty in the fifth One-Day International for the concluding match of the series against Pakistan in Delhi on Sunday.

Board of Control for Cricket in India secretary S K Nair said, "The Indian team selected for the fifth and sixth ODIs in Kanpur and New Delhi has been retained. The side, therefore, will not see any change for the New Delhi ODI as well."

Nair said the decision to retain the 15-member squad was taken after consultations with selection committee chairman Kiran More.

The decision, he said, has been conveyed to the team management as well as Sourav Ganguly [Images], who is eligible to play despite being served with a six-match ban by the International Cricket Council for the team's slow over-rate during the fourth one-dayer in Ahmedabad.
