The Indian Cricket Board was hopeful of finalising the itinerary for the upcoming series against Pakistan by January 15, President-elect Ranbir Singh Mahendra on Thursday said.
"The Pakistan Cricket Board has asked for the venues and dates. Hopefully we will announce it before January 15," Mahendra told newspersons in New Delhi.
An ongoing legal battle in the Supreme Court involving the BCCI has stopped it from taking any major decision including finalising the schedule for the Pakistan series, which was expected to be played in February-March.

The Supreme Court was to pass its verdict on a batch of petitions challenging appointment of Jagmohan Dalmiya as the Board's Patron in Chief besides the fairness of the election of new set of office bearers in September. The Board's canceling of telecast rights for first class matches in India for next four years, which it had earlier awarded to Zee Network, had also been challenged.
Mahendra, however, said the BCCI has not received any communication with regard to Pakistan's unwillingness to play at any particular venue.
"The PCB has not expressed any reservations so far. It is the prerogative of the home board to fix the venues," he said.
