Waqar calls it quits

Waqar was as lethal in Limited Overs Internationals as well. His ability to swing the ball in varied conditions served him well in the one-day version of the game.

There are few who can forget his career-best spell of 7 for 36 against England at Leeds in June 2001. Batsmen fell like a deck of cards to his swing and pace, as he accounted for seven of the top eight Englishmen.

Another performance which comes to mind is the 6 for 26 against Sri Lanka at Sharjah in April 1990.

Coming at one change, he ran through the Lankan batting to help Pakistan win by 90 runs.
