It was a nightmare start for New Zealand as they lost four quick wickets for 21 runs.

Captain Stephen Fleming scored a patient 40 to help his team out of trouble. He put on 47 runs for the fifth wicket with Chris Cairns, and then 62 for the sixth wicket with Jacob Oram.

It is Fleming's highest score in the tournament. He has now scored 42 runs at an average of 21.00.
