Wright so far...

It was Rahul Dravid who was first impressed by Wright’s coaching skills when he came under the Kiwi’s command in the Kent side during the 2000 county season. The fact that Wright also played Test cricket helped him earn the respect of the players.

A strict disciplinarian, he sets high standards but his wards are more than eager to do whatever he commands. That's because they know he has the good of Indian cricket at heart.

His tenure started with the stunning Test series triumph against Australia at home, but the team then suffered reverses in Sri Lanka and South Africa.
