The Turbanator

After his stunning performance against the touring Australians in the 2000/2001 series, the Australian media named him 'The Turbanator'. He took 32 wickets during the three-Test series.

His mastery of the Australian batsmen, with the sole exception of Matthew Hayden, was unbelievable.

The strong suit of his bowling has always been the bounce he manages to extract from the most placid of pitches. The men from Down Under failed to come to terms with the young Sikh's variations. The rest, as they say, is history.
