Indo-Pak cricket chiefs to meet in Dubai
April 20, 2003 15:42 IST
Despite the suspension of cricketing ties between India and Pakistan, top cricket officials from the two countries will meet in Dubai on May 3 and 4.
Board of Control for Cricket in India President Jagmohan Dalmiya will interact with Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Tauqir Zia during the meeting, which will be held under the banner of Asian Cricket Foundation.
While confirming the dates, Dalmiya, who is also the chairman of the ACF, said the main agenda of the meeting is the development of cricket in Asia.
Officials of Sri Lankan and Bangladesh cricket boards are also expected to attend the meeting.
Though the BCCI chief refused to divulge any details, it is definite that the matter of strained Indo-Pak cricketing ties will top the agenda.
