Mark's Gone
The loss of Waugh, the world record-holder in Tests with 181 catches, though certain to cause a momentary distraction, will not upset the team's focus.
Mark had hoped to play his final match for Australia in front of his home crowd at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the New Year. "But there's not too many fairy tales in sport," he noted ruefully. "It hasn't worked out that way. Still, I'm happy with what I have achieved. I've been extremely lucky to have played for so long in a great era for Australian cricket.'
