Langer largeese

Second Test - Day 1

Langer celebrates after scoring his third successive century. He became the first Australian to record the feat since David Boon in 1993.

He survived an early reprieve before making the opposition pay for the largeese and hit 20 boundaries off 153 balls, in an opening stand of 223 with Matthew Hayden.

"You've got to sometimes hit the absolute depths before you can start re-climbing up the mountain, I'm really happy that I went through that in England because I'm playing the game now as I'd like to play the game," Langer said.

"A bit of luck is always handy, for sure. Life's pretty good isn't it?," he added.
