TCS facility achieves CMM Level 5

Tata Consultancy Services has received the highest rating of Level 5 from the Capability Maturity Model of Carnegie Mellon University's software engineering institute for one of its facilities.

CMM expert Rod Radice of Software Technology Transition, USA, assessed TCS's facility in Bombay's Software and Electronics Export Processing Zone.

In his assessment ''The TCS-SEEPZ centre is now one of the largest and very complex, software delivery centres to achieve CMM Level 5 status.''

The SEEPZ facility has over 1,000 consultants and is the third TCS delivery centre to have received this rating after its US West centre and HP Centre.
