Volvo launches V40 Cross Country luxury hatchback at Rs 28.5 lakh

Volvo has launched V40 Cross Country luxury hatchback to increase its share in the Indian market where it has been struggling since past few years.

The company's launch of this new stunning crossover is in line with the gearing demand of entry level luxury cars that can even serve as extremely adventurous off-roaders.

The Swedish conglomerate rolled out V40 Cross Country for Rs 28.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to lure more buyers in the country.

The vehicle has hit the Indian roads with two engine options - 1.6-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre D3 diesel engine, which are capable of churning out maximum of 180bhp and 150bhp respectively.

As per ARAI, the diesel version will provide an impressive fuel efficiency of 16.8kmpl. The V40 Cross Country T4 petrol trim is expected to be tuned in with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 2.0-litre D3 diesel powered trim will be mated with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
