NSE to discontinue CNX Nifty Jr, CNX 100 and CNX Defty derivatives

National Stock ExchangeThe National Stock Exchange has proposed to discontinue trading in the derivatives contracts of CNX Nifty Junior, CNX 100 and S&P CNX Defty from July 30, due to lack of interest for a considerable period of time.

The derivatives contracts in the above three indices shall be discontinued with the expiry of the near month contract i.e. from July 30, 2009.

Along with the near month contract which expires on that day, all other contracts for the subsequent months will also be expired on that day.

Accordingly, no futures and options contracts will be available in the said underlying indices from July 31, 2009.
