The world champions will also play New Zealand in three one-day internationals for the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy in December and a Tri-Series one-day tournament against India and Sri Lanka.

"Our competitors' global cricket commitments in a world where so many cricket nations are based in the southern hemisphere and play at the same time of year create challenges for cricket scheduling," Michael Brown, CA's general manager for cricket operations, said in a statement.

"Despite these challenges, we are pleased we have been able to offer cricket fans extensive opportunities to see the world's top cricketers throughout next summer."

Australia kick off the international season in November with two Tests against Sri Lanka, in Brisbane and Hobart, before taking on New Zealand in the Chappell-Hadlee series.

The first of four Tests against India starts on Boxing Day in Melbourne with the other matches in Sydney, Perth and Adelaide in January.

Sri Lanka and India join Australia in the Tri-Series, which is scheduled to run from Feb. 3-March 7.

Australia will also host two Twenty20 matches, one against New Zealand in Perth and the other against India in Melbourne.
