422 more Indians return from Kuwait

March 22, 2003 14:09 IST

About 422 more Indians from Kuwait arrived in Mumbai early on Saturday by a special Air-India flight (AI-858), an Air-India spokesman said.

With this, the number of total arrivals has gone up to 1922.

The airline also brought the luggage of passengers who had arrived from Kuwait on the first two special flights on Thursday without their checked baggages, he said advising all concerned passengers to contact the Air-India office at Sahar airport to collect the same.

Air-India officials in the region were closely monitoring the situation and special flights are being provided to meet the demand.

The spokesman also said that Air-India has decided to operate its scheduled Saturday evening flight AI 851 with a Boeing 747-200 instead of the smaller Airbus 310.
