The Qatari Al-Jazeera television channel, which so far has had unhindered access to the war against terrorism in Afghanistan, was put out of action on Tuesday when its Kabul office was hit by shells.
"Shells fell on the Al-Jazeera bureau office in Kabul, but there were no casualties," said the station's correspondent in Kandahar, quoting his colleagues in Kabul.
Al-Jazeera's Kabul correspondent Taysir Alluni has become a celebrity in the Arab world with his exclusive reports from Taleban-held territory since the launch of the US-led war on Afghanistan on October 7.
