President George W Bush on Friday offered US special forces troops to any country fighting terrorism.
"If a nation comes to us and says 'we need your help, we'd like some of your special forces teams, we'd like something other than logistical support, to help get it done,' we'll help," he told reporters.
"Our war against terror extends way beyond Afghanistan," he added.
Bush said he had asked his national security council to draw up plans for how to treat captured Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders. "We'll find Al Qaeda fighters from all around the world," he said.
As for Osama bin Laden, Bush said: "I don't know where he is," he said. "He could be in a cave that doesn't have an opening to it anymore, or could be in a cave where he can get out."
