 September 3: He is called the 40 foot King of Mumbai. Indeed the mandal at 12th lane, Khetwadi, south Bombay, has been long known for its lanky Ganpatis, the tallest apparently in Bombay. And every year since its silver jubillee, 18 years ago, the idol has gotten taller. Escorting this monarch to Chowpatty beach for visarjan is an uphill task.. The journey will take 10 hours.
