Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale joined Real Madrid for a world record transfer fee of 93 million pounds ($131.86 million) on a six-year deal.
The 24-year-old Wales international eclipsed the previous record of £80m which was also paid by Real Madrid to Manchester United for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.
