It's official: Sharapova confirms Dimitrov romance

World No 2 Tennis star, Maria Sharapova, has confirmed that she is dating the highly-rated Bulgarian fellow player Grigor Dimitrov.

The pair had been photographed kissing on the streets of Madrid on Wednesday, just a day after Dimitrov dumped World No 1 Novak Djokovic out of the Madrid Masters, Sports24.co.za reported.

She had responded to the publishing of those photos by cryptically writing "how did you catch us?" on the courtside camera after her Madrid Open quarter-final on Friday.

She also revealed that they have been seeing each other for a while.

The Russian player, who is five years older than Dimitrov, said that this is just a part of their personal life away from the court and it is just something that both of them want to cherish on their own.

However, the 26-year-old also denied to any suggestion that the two could team up to play mixed doubles anytime soon.
