India hockey coach Michael Nobbs says scoring field goals will be the key to the team's fortunes at the upcoming Olympics.
Michael Nobbs said he expects the team to give an impressive performance, which should spur Indian hockey.
The new blue turf at the Olympic venue was dubbed slippery and bouncy by all coaches then, but Nobbs said it seemed to be less slippery from what the Indian players experienced during practice over the weekend.
India are placed in Group B of the men's hockey competition. Defending champions Germany and the Netherlands are the most formidable opponents India are going to confront in the pool matches.
The other teams in India's group are New Zealand, South Korea and Belgium, who all have shown their ability to break through the Indian defenses.
With the Archery team finals scheduled on July 28 (men) and 29 (women), ahead of the individuals on August 2 (women) and Aug 3 (men), the archers will look to open the tally for India.
