Sharapova, the losing finalist at Wimbledon this year, presented an award along with actress Rachel Nichols and NBA player Amar'e Stoudemire.

Singer Justin Bieber and NASCAR and open wheel race car driver Danica Patrick were also there to present an award.
Hamilton was nominated
Bethany Hamilton also made a high-profile entry.
Hamilton, a professional surfer, was nominated in the category of best sports movie for "Soul Surfer."
Rachel Nichols looked radiant
Actress Rachel Nichols made an entry in a spectacular blue dress.
Nichols has starred in movies such as Star Trek, Conan the Barbarian and The Amityville Horror.
The red off-shoulder worked well for Brooklyn
Model Brooklyn Decker, dressed in a radiant red off-shoulder, posed for the shutterbugs in the press room.
Decker, who made her movie debut with Just Go With It, is the wife of American tennis star Andy Roddick.

Lindsey Vonn, the U.S. skier, posed with her "Best Female Athlete" award.
The Olympic and World Cup champion picked up the trophy for best female athlete for the second straight year.
Like others, she thanked numerous people, but then Vonn looked at pop star Justin Bieber in the audience and asked "will you take a picture with me for my Facebook page."
Bieber laughed and nodded yes.
Jill Wagner also made an appearance
Also present was actress Jill Wagner.
Wagner has hosted television shows like Wipeout and Teen Wolf.
Lipinski was also there
Tara Lipinski also graced the awards.
The figure skater, who won the Olympic gold at just 15, ws also the world champion in 1997.
Hannah Cornett was also present
Hannah Cornett, surfer, triathlete and model also made an appearance.
Cornet has appeared on the cover of many sports magazines.
Serena Williams presented an award
Serena Williams was alos there to make a presentation.
The American tennis star, having been out of action for over a year, saw her hopes od a Wimbledon title defence being spoiled by Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli.
Emmanuelle Chriqui exuded class
Emmanuelle Chriqui was also there to make a presentation.
The actress is well known for her part in the TV show Entourage.
