Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger call it quits?

Mercedes Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton and singer girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger have reportedly ended their romance, the reason being their tight schedules.

The couple, who dated on-off for five years, were apparently finding it difficult to spend time with each other since the F1 racer is based in Switzerland, while his singer girlfriend is in the US, the Sun reported.

The high profile couple has been together since 2007. They parted ways briefly in 2010 due to the trials of a long distance relationship but were back together.

A source told the publication that it's so hard to keep up a relationship when the couple is barely in the same country as each other.

A lot of people recognise the Formula One former World Champion, Hamilton as Nicole Scherzinger’s boyfriend. But if rumours are to be believed, it would be history now.

The insider said that both of them have supported each other in their careers and will continue to do so, but the nature of their work ultimately cost their relationship.

Just a few weeks prior to the split, 28-year-old Hamilton had expressed his desire to walk down the aisle with Scherzinger, 35.
