Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar spearheaded a sparkling show as Indian grapplers dominated the wrestling arena with five gold medals.

Sushil expectedly bagged gold in men's 75kg freestyle category. Sushil, 31, asserted his class as he won his all four bouts of the day quite comfortably.

Sushil, who had won his first CWG gold at the 2010 Delhi edition in the 66kg category had a fan in Canada’s female wrestler. And she had a unique way of showing her affection for the Indian superhero!

Sushil Kumar uploaded a picture on his Facebook account on Thursday, and the wrestler is seen lifting the champion in her arms.

The image soon went viral and the post had been liked by over 1.5 lakh users.

In the gold-medal bout against Qamar Abbas of Pakistan, Sushil had an easy outing. Even before one could blink, the contest was over as the Indian pinned down his rival to clinch the gold with a 8-0 scoreline in under two minutes.

"I had no problem which shifting to the new weight category. Today I did not have any problems in any bout today."

"It was an easy final bout for me and I feel happy to have added another gold in the Commonwealth Games," Sushil, who had won his first CWG gold at the 2010 Delhi edition in the 66kg category, said after his bout.

In the men's light-fly weight (46-49kg) category, Devendro played true to his aggressive self as he outclassed Ashley Williams of Wales in a thrilling contest to book a place in the final.

The 22-year-old Devendro won a 3-0 unanimous verdict against his opponent in a bout which kept the packed crowd on the edge of their seats.

In a rare display of respect and sportsmanship Ashley pulled up the rope of the ring and helped Devendro to go out in style!
