Against the backdrop of golfer Rory McIlroy and tennis star Caroline Wozniacki's parting, which surprised many, Rediff.com lists other celebrity break-ups.
The dashing Yuvraj Singh always makes headlines. Before his tight-lipped romance with Deepika Padukone, the smashing star batsman enjoyed a steady relationship with Bollywood actress Kim Sharma.
Yuvraj and Kim were the talk of the town when they went out and billed as cricket's hottest couple.
There was no reason given out for their break-up. We were informed that it just didn't work out!

In 2005, Hewitt married Australian actress and singer Bec Cartwright after just a six-week relationship. They have three children.
