After a long, long time, I had the pleasure of watching a cricket game at the Toronto cricket club. I and some others drove to Toronto - in my case from Michigan, and others from various parts of
Canada and the USA.
I certainly agree with you that using bad language and taunting the players is bad. In fact, the same group of people (Indians) who fought with Inzamam were taunting Mohanty on the field, calling him 'Hey Kalia, what is your name" (Hey, blackie, what's your name?).
Indians are the most color-conscious people in the world. They often forget that Canadians derisively refer to them as "Pakis".
Cricket is one of the most enjoyable games, and spectators can contribute to elevate the game by better behaviour.
