The victory took Chandigarh past table leaders Sher-E-Punjab, who have a game left.
With both teams assured of last-four berths, the match lacked intensity earlier on.
However, the fourth and last quarter saw some excitement with Gurjinder converting three penalty-corners, having opened the scoring in the second quarter to take his tally in the tournament to 18.
