Indian boxer Gaurav Bidhuri (52kg) is fast making a name for himself at the International Boxing Association's semi-professional World Series of Boxing, churning out his third consecutive win for his franchise, Italia Thunder, in the ongoing season.

The Indian has appeared in five bouts for Thunder so far, and notched up an impressive tally of three wins, the latest coming against former World Championships bronze-medallist Miras Zakhupov.

Bidhuri edged past the Kazakh 2-1 to help his team grab a 3-2 triumph over table-toppers Astana Arlans Kazakhstan. The win took Thunder, the 2011-12 champions, to third on the points table in Group B.

Earlier, on April 11, Bidhuri out-punched Rafako Hussars Poland's Grzegorz Sylwester Kozlowski 3-0.

In February, Bidhuri had clinched his first win in WSB with a 3-0 victory over Caciques Venezuela's Orlando David Pinosilva.

Before that, he had lost to Azerbaijan Baku Fires' Murad Rabadanov 0-3.

The Delhi-based boxer had earlier competed for WSB's Indian franchise Mumbai Fighters. The franchise was disbanded owing to financial issues.

WSB, which is also an Olympic qualifying event, features franchises from across the globe in a league format that leads to play-offs and a final.

The boxers compete without vests or headguards in 5 three minute rounds -- 5 bouts per match -- under a 10-Point-Must-System.

The WSB offers Olympic quota places for boxers through its individual championships.
