World number one Caroline Wozniacki and third-ranked Vera Zvonareva reached the Qatar Ladies Open final in contrasting fashion on Friday.
Dane Wozniacki avenged defeats in her last two meetings with Marion Bartoli by thrashing the Frenchwoman 6-1, 6-1 while second seed Zvonareva battled past fifth seed and former world number one Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 6-1, 2-6, 6-4.
"If you've played well and had a tough three set battle, it's a great feeling to win. But winning like this is amazing too," Wozniacki said on the WTA website (www.wtatour.com).
"It means I'm playing at a high level. I'm hitting the ball well. I'm really pleased with my performance."
