Leander Paes and Martina Hingis proved too strong for Artem Sitak and Anastasia Rodionova, beating the New Zealand-Australia pair for a berth in the mixed doubles quarter-finals at Wimbledon on Tuesday.
The seventh seeded Indo-Swiss pair, which won the Australian Open earlier this year, needed only 48 minutes for a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
Two breaks of serve in each set sufficed for the multiple Grand Slam winners to win the third round match.
Paes, a 15-time major champion, was halted in his stride in the men’s doubles on Monday.
He and Daniel Nestor, seeded 11th, rallied from two sets down before losing 3-6, 5-7, 6-3, 6-2, 2-6 to Austria's Alexander Peya and Brazil's Bruno Soares in a third round match which lasted two hours, 42 minutes.
