British footballer Hamza Choudhury, who won the FA Cup with Leicester City on Saturday, May 15, is in the spotlight following his post-win celebrations.
The 23-year old former England U-21 team midfielder showed solidarity with the Palestinians after his club won the FA Cup -- the oldest tournament of England -- for the first time.
Hamza, whose mother Rafia is Bangladeshi, raised the Palestine flag along with his team-mate Wesley Fofana at the Wembley Stadium.
Hamza, one of the very few Asian origin players in the top level of football, had the flag draped over his shoulders as he collected his winner's medal after beating Chelsea 1-0.
Hamza and Wesley are set to avoid any disciplinary sanction as the FA does not punish players for displaying the flag of a nation after a game.
