Wheelchair player for global events

India's wheelchair tennis player Boniface Prabhu would take part in a series of international tournaments with the support of Allen Solly, UTI Worldwide (India) and Nike India who have extended him sponsorship for the above events.

A winner of the 2004 Florida Open Wheelchair Tennis Championship last year, Boniface kicks off the season with the Japan Open on May 15. He will also take part in the French, Dutch, Belgium and British Open.

Currently ranked 40 in the world, he promised to give his best. His aim is to break into top ten in the world and then be among the top two.

The sponsorship by Allen Solly, a major Aditya Birla group company, is for one year and that includes accommodation, airfare and other miscellaneous costs like tournament cost and entry fee. Ace spinner Anil Kumble turned up to extend his support to Boniface, who the cricketer described as a epitome of grit, determination and perseverance and a role model.
