The sports fraternity has come in unison to offer their condolences over the demise of veteran actor-politician Vinod Khanna, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 70.
The veteran actor was hospitalised and later discharged from HN Reliance Foundation and Research Centre in Girgaum, Mumbai. He was also reportedly battling cancer for years.
In a condolence message, Indian shuttler Jwala Gutta tweeted, "The most handsome dashing actor of his time!! RIP #VinodKhanna you will be missed."
Describing Vinod as `one of the most charismatic actors`, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag said, "Heartfelt condolences on the passing away of one of the most charismatic actors #VinodKhanna ji, Om Shanti!"
Outpouring his emotions, renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle said that he is deeply saddened over Vinod Khanna's demise, before adding that he would remember the actor's smile when they last met.
"Deeply saddened by the passing of Vinod Khanna. So many memories. From Mere Apne to now. Will remember his smile when we last met," Bhogle wrote.
Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif also expressed his grief over Vinod Khanna's death, tweeting, "Unbelievable loss. Deepest condolences on the passing away of a wonderful man and such a jubilant being #VinodKhanna ji.RIP."
