Vijay Singh dislodges Love

Vijay Singh has replaced Davis Love III at number three in the world rankings following his four-shot victory in the rain-delayed John Deere Classic.

Vijay SinghThe twice major champion pulled away from the field with a closing round of six-under-par 65 at the TPC at Deere Run on Monday, clinching his third PGA Tour title of the year.

The Fijian, who had been ranked fourth in the world at the start of the tournament, has also dislodged Love from the number one spot in the PGA Tour money list.

Singh, third a week ago, moves to the top with earnings of $5,702,507, while Love slipped to second on $5,504,846.

In the only other changes to the world's top 10, U.S. Masters champion Mike Weir replaces U.S. Open winner Jim Furyk at five and Retief Goosen, winner of the Lancome Trophy in France on Sunday, climbs two positions to 10.

Tiger Woods, who has not played since his share of seventh at the Deutsche Bank Championship two weeks ago, extends his record run at number one to 213 consecutive weeks.

South African Goosen, who led from start to finish at Saint-Nom-le-Breteche to clinch his first win of the year, moves above former world number two Phil Mickelson, who slips to 11 after tying for 18th at the Suntory Open in Japan on Sunday.

Jyoti Randhawa, who became the first Indian to win on the Japan Golf Tour with his two-shot victory at Sobu Country Club near Tokyo, rises to 169th in the world.
