'The Indian Express' will be back on the tracks in 2011 as Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes have decided to reunite in their quest to complete a career Grand Slam at the Australian Open.
The veteran duo first teamed up in October 1994 and has compiled a 223-81 career record, which includes three Grand Slam doubles titles from five finals.
Bhupathi confirmed the plan ahead of the season finale in London. "We have had very good success in the past and I think we'll be able to start off well ahead of our bid to win the Australian Open," the 36-year-old said.
"The focus is the Australian Open, the only Grand Slam Mahesh and I have not won together. We won Roland Garros a couple of times, we won Wimbledon and the US Open with different partners, but we have not won in Melbourne," Paes said.
"We'll be trying to complete a career Grand Slam. We feel this is a good chance, as a lot of teams are splitting up at the end of the year," he added.
