Three Indians will feature in the semi-finals of the French Open Super Series badminton tournament after Kidambi Srikanth, H S Prannoy and P V Sindhu won their quarter-final matches in Paris on Friday.

While Srikanth, who won the Denmark Open last week, rallied splendidly to overcome Shi Yuqi of China in a late night match, Prannoy got the better of Jeon Hyeok-jin of South Korea, winning 21-16, 21-16.

Srikanth, who is on course for his fourth Super Series title of the year, had things his way after losing the first game to prevail 8-21, 21-19, 21-9 and make the last four stage in the men’s singles.

He will meet compatriot Prannoy on Saturday.

In the other semi-final, Denmark's Anders Antonsen will meet Kenta Nishimoto of Japan.

Earlier in the day, World Championship silver medallist Sindhu beat Chen Yufei of China 21-14, 21-14 to storm into the women's singles semi-finals, where she will meet Akane Yamaguchi of Japan.

The victory enabled Sindhu avenge her first round loss to the Chinese at the Denmark Open last week.

Sindhu, who had beaten Yufei at the World Championships, now leads the Chinese 3-2 in their overall head- to-head record.

The other semi-finalis between Tai Tzu Ying of Taipei and Hi Bingjao of China.
