World No 1 Novak Djokovic during his semifinal match against Jeremy Chardy at the Rogers Cup on Saturday, complained to the umpire that someone’s cigarettes were making him dizzy.

The Serbian wasn’t feeling sick, however, it was the smell of marijuana coming from the stands.

“Someone is smoking weed,” he stopped to chat to the umpire and TV cameras caught Djokovic saying. “I can smell it. I’m getting dizzy.”

“Whoever it is, I hope he doesn't come back tomorrow. He's probably in seventh heaven somewhere,” he said.

Djoviokic then took his seat and began gesturing the action of someone smoking a joint.

Djokovic also mentioned that he had felt a strange smell around the stadium during his doubles match with Janko Tipsarevic, on Friday. “First in the doubles match, today again. Somebody's really enjoying his life around the tennis court,” he added.

Fortunately, the Serb didn’t get too high. The dizzy spell and distraction didn't derail the Serbian's momentum. The top seed Djokovic defeated unseeded Chardy 6-4, 6-4.

Later, Andy Murray ended a long drought against Djokovic when he beat the Serbian 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in a draining final of the Rogers Cup on Sunday.
