Borussia Dortmund have signed promising young striker Erling Haaland from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg on a four-and-a-half year deal, the Bundesliga club said on Sunday.

The transfer fee was undisclosed but British media reported the German side paid the equivalent of about 18 million pounds ($23 million) for the 19-year-old, who signed a deal until June 2024.

 

Haaland, 19, shot to fame this season when he scored 16 league goals and eight goals in the Champions League group stages -- second only to Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski's tally of 10.

Modou Sougou's brace helped Mumbai City FC register their first 'home' win of the season

as they defeated Hyderabad FC 2-1 in an Indian Super League game in Mumbai on Sunday.

Sougou scored on either side of the break (6th and 78th minute) to help Mumbai grab three points.

While Bobo scored the lone goal (81st minute) for Hyderabad, who suffered one more loss.

ISL reschedules six games in new year

The Indian Super League has rescheduled six matches of the ongoing 2019-20 season due to various factors.

According to a statement posted by ISL on its website, the game between NorthEast United FC and Chennaiyin FC, which was postponed on December 12 due to CAA protests in Guwahati, will now be played on February 25 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium.

One more game of NorthEast United has also been rescheduled as their engagement against Jamshedpur FC has been moved from January 2 to February 10 "due to non-availability of the stadium" because of Khelo India Youth Games, to be held at the venue from January 2 to 22.

The orgainsers have also swapped the games between Chennaiyin FC and Bengaluru FC (scheduled on February 7) and North East United FC vs Kerala Blasters FC (scheduled on February 9).

The scheduled match between Hyderabad FC and Jamshedpur FC, on February 12, has been moved to February 13, while the February 13 match between FC Goa and Mumbai City FC has been brought forward and will now be played on February 12.
