The world’s most beautiful game is set to kick off in Brazil and the best players will begin the battle for the ultimate prize - the World Cup.

But while the tournament will see the most talented stars on the planet go head to head, it will also be home of the glamorous wives and girlfriends (WAGS) of the players.

These beauties will set the pitch on fire off the field.

Irina Shayk (Cristiano Ronaldo)

This stunner is the most famous of the WAGs in Brazil. The 28-year-old Russian model has been dating the footie ace since 2010.

Protugal star Cristiano Ronaldo recently posed naked for the cover of Vogue Espana withravishing girlfriend Irina Shayk, who stood in front of him to protect his modesty. The cover, shot by Mario Testino, was accompanied by the tagline ‘Amor y Futbol (Love and Football)’.

One's of the fashion industry's leading glamazons, Shayk has starred in yet another sexy campaign to drive the point home.

The Russian bombshell, who recently won the title of the hottest woman in football, will be seen in the spring summer 2014 ad campaign of Spanish shoes brand. She is the latest star to appear in the advertising campaign.

The Hips Don't Lie singer Shakira has finally revealed her love for footballer beau Gerard Pique to the world.

The Colombian bombshell told Elle magazine that she nearly gave up on finding the one until the Spanish soccer star entered her life and changed everything, the New York Daily News reported.

The 37-year-old who welcomed son Milan with Pique in January, said that she knows the footballer is the one person who is with her not because of any interest other than the love that unites them.

The hot couple, who have been together since 2011, definitely shares the universal language of love.

Shakira said that before meeting Pique, 26, she was not feeling the love for a few years, but when she finally did, it was like suddenly the sun came out.

Despite the reception to Waka Waka, Pique has starred in the video for Shakira’s offering for the Brazil World Cup, the imaginatively named La, La, La.
