Dipika Pallikal and Joshana Chinappa created history by winning the first-ever gold medal in squash.
Dipika and Joshana stole the limelight with their historic feat as they beat Jenny Duncalf and Laura Massaro of England 11-6, 11-8 in the women’s doubles squash final on the 10th day of competitions in this edition. It was the first squash medal for India in the Commonwealth Games.
The fifth-seeded Indian pair of Dipika and Joshana made short work of their English opponents with a 11-6, 11-8 win in the best-of-three game final.

Six-times Olympic champion Usain Bolt stole the show to give the Commonwealth Games the moment it had been waiting for by leading Jamaica to gold in the 4x100 metres relay on Saturday.
Eight-times world champion Bolt delighted the HampdenPark crowd as he raced down the home straight to give Jamaica victory in a Games record time of 37.58 seconds.
In doing so the towering sprinter also claimed the first Commonwealth medal of his illustrious career.

Kenya also left Hampden with three golds as James Kiplagat Magut made a late surge to win the men’s 1,500, while Mercy Cherono claimed the women’s 5,000 and Julius Kiplagat Yego threw 83.87 metres in tricky conditions to scoop the men’s javelin.

England's Tom Daley retained his 10-metre platform diving title with a dominant display at the Commonwealth Games on Saturday.
Daley produced a stunning performance to score 516.55 points and beat second-placed Malaysian Ooi Tze Liang (433.70) by a large margin. Canadian Vincent Riendeau (429.25) was third.
