Deepali continues her winning spree

Ace shooter Anjali Bhagwat of CISF and Deepali Deshpande continued to prove their mettle in women's air rifle event of the 47th National Shooting Championship in Hyderabad on Sunday.

Maharashtra shooter Deepali won the gold in individual event while sharpshooter Anjali proved her supremacy in the team event to give CISF the gold medal.

Deepali finished ahead of Railway shooters Suma Shirur and Pournima with 497.2 points to win the yellow metal.

Anjali was the cynosure of all eyes at the shooting range where CISF topped the tally with 1,184 points relegating Railways and Maharashtra to minor placings.

In men's skeet event, Chhattisgarh shooters Navind Jindal and Baba PS Bedi won the gold and silver while H S Bedi of Delhi settled for bronze.

Chhattisgarh claimed the team gold finishing well ahead of Delhi with a margin of over 30 points. Army took the third slot.
