Tennis superstar Serena Williams made her first public appearance since the birth of her daughter Alexis Olympia in September, at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards at the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York City.
The star-studded event marked Williams’ first post-baby red carpet appearance since welcoming her first child with fiancé Alexis Ohanian in September.
The new mom to 10-week-old daughter presented Gigi Hadid the Supernova Award.
Williams is yet to make an announcement regarding her planned comeback in 2018, though her coach Patrick Mouratoglou has said that a return in Australia is the ‘goal’.
Williams, who won her 23rd Grand Slam title when pregnant at the 2017 tournament in January, gave birth to daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. on September 1. She has just three months to get fit.
In October, Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley told the media that ‘Serena will be back’ in Melbourne to defend the title.
