The Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis juggernaut continues to roll.

On Friday, the world No 1 women's doubles team added another crown to their overflowing trophy vault, winning the WTA Apia International in Sydney.

They overcame stiff resistance from French pair Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic to prevail 1-6, 7-5, 10-5 victory in 73 minutes.

In the process they registered their 30th straight victory and picked their second title in 2016.

Sania-Hingis lost the first set 1-6 and trailed 1-4 in the second, but rallied splendidly thereafter. They drew abreast 5-5 before taking the set 7-5 and extending the match to the super tie-break.

The US Open and Wimbledon champions then raced to an 8-3 lead and never looked back.

The Sydney crown is the 11th together for the Indo-Swiss pair, which won nine titles, including the year-end WTA finale, in 2015.

Last week they won the Brisbane International.
