Sania-Ankita depart for Tokyo ahead of Games

The duo of Sania Mirza and Ankita Raina departed to Tokyo for the Olympic Games on Monday.

The duo departed from the Rajiv Gandhi International airport in Hyderabad.

Six-time grand slam champion Sania and Ankita will compete in the doubles event at the Tokyo Games. Sania qualified for the Games on the basis of her injury-protected ranking of No. 9.

This is Sania's record fourth appearance at the Olympics while Ankita will be making her debut at the Games.
