Saina, Sindhu static; Srikanth slips, Jayaram improves

Saina and sindhu Despite clinching the Macau Open title for the third time, India’s ace shuttler P V Sindhu remained static at 12th position in the latest BWF world ranking released on Thursday.

Saina Nehwal also held on to her number two position but a poor run of form saw K Srikanth lose a spot and slip to World No. 9.

Ajay Jayaram, however, improved two rungs to be placed at the 23rd position.
     
Srikanth, who alongwith Saina qualified for the BWF Super Series Final for the second successive year, has been going through a rough patch which culminated in early exits in a few tournaments.
     
Jayaram, who had reached the finals of Korea Super Series and won the Dutch Grand Prix, however, jumped a couple of places.
     
H S Prannoy and injured Parupalli Kashyap were static at 20th and 14th places, respectively.
     
In women's doubles, 2010 Commonwealth Games champions Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa lost a place to be at 13th spot.
