Olympics medallists Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu, along with wrestler Geeta Phogat, walked the ramp at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2019.

Saina Nehwal
London Olympics bronze medallist Saina Nehwal shimmered in yellow lehenga choli designed by Chennai-based designer Vaani Raghupathy, who made her debut at LFW this time.

Saina, who recently tied the knot with the badminton player Parupalli Kashyap said she is "excited and equally nervous to be walking the ramp, especially after my marriage with my husband cheering for me in the audience".
"I think it is fantastic walking the ramp. It's always fun. I think this is my third or fourth time," Saina said.
"I think yellow looks good on me. I never thought I will be wearing yellow today but when I saw the outfit, I was happy as the colour always looks good on my skin tone," she added.
PV Sindhu
Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu took the centre stage at Lakme Fashion Week on the concluding day.
The ace shuttler was the show stopper for the collection ‘The Secret Garden’, which is being presented by footwear brand Misfit Panda.
Sindhu made her debut on the Lakme Fashion Week 2019 and walked the ramp with a superb confidence.

Geeta Phogat
Wrestling champion Geeta Phogat packed a punch at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2019 ramp at a show, where 10 other accomplished names turned showstoppers to pay an ode to women and their inner strength.
The women were dressed in subtle and feminine ensembles from a collection called 'Post Cards from Summer' by designer Rina Singh's label Eka.

"This was my first experience of a ramp walk. Even though I go into a wrestling ring, I don't get nervous, but I got a little nervous for a ramp show," Geeta told the media.
"It felt really nice after meeting everyone, the models and everyone... They are inspiring," said the rough-and-tough sporstwoman, who the audience cheered for as she took a confident walk.
