India team thrashed Bangladesh 5-1 in a Group A match of the third SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Women's Football Championship in Islamabad on Saturday.
After going into the breather with a narrow 1-0 lead, the Indian eves dished out a dominating performance in the second period and found the opposition net as many as four times to pile on the misery on Bangladesh.
By virtue of this win, India are now on six points from two outings and will take on Afghanistan next in the last Group A game on Monday.
Striker Bala Devi was on target twice with Upamati Devi, Mandakini Devi and Indumathi also registering their name on the scoresheet.
Bangladesh got late a consolation in the 85th minute through Sabina Khatun.
