India's top-ranked tennis player Rohan Bopanna and local lad Karan Rastogi received two of the allotted three wild cards for the US $ 380,000 ATP event in Mumbai starting September 25.
The Kingfisher Airlines Open, organised by Mahesh Bhupathi's Globosport, has two top ten players -- Tommy Robredo and Radek Stepanek -- apart from other marquee players like Mario Ancic, Carlos Moya, Fernando Gonzalez and veteran Greg Rusedski.
Placed 273 in the world, Bopanna, a finalist at the US$ 25,000 ATP event in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, recently, is the highest-ranked Indian on the ATP list, followed by Harsh Mankad (322), Rastogi (361) and Prakash Amritraj (367).
